Music is a language that everyone understands. Adults seniors and children all benefit from Music Therapy. Music Therapy sessions are geared to each individuals goals and needs. With Seniors, music can break through isolation, offer opportunities for joyful socialization and allow for an expression of feelings.

For adults with a physical or mental disability, Music Therapy offers a range of activities that build confidence , increase healthy socialization and offer alternative ways to express feelings.

For Children, Music Therapy can assist with learning challenges, emotional stress, physical disabilities and developmental disabilities.

What Is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is defined by the Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT, 1994) as the skillful use of music and musical elements by an accredited music therapist to promote, maintain, and restore mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.Music has nonverbal, creative, structural, and emotional qualities.These are used in the therapeutic relationship to facilitate contact, interaction, self-awareness, learning, self-expression, communication, and personal development.
